Allison Shotwell LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #154213
I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with clients for more than 10,000 hours—witnessing their courage, vulnerability, and strength as they heal and grow. Through this work, and through my own healing and growth, I’ve discovered that some therapeutic approaches have a unique ability to unlock deep transformation and lasting change.
There’s nothing I love more than supporting my clients as they become more of who they truly want to be—and, I love geeking out on discovering the most effective, powerful tools to help them get there faster and with more ease.
Since childhood, I’ve been fascinated by people—by what drives us, how we heal, and what makes a good life. Growing up with grandparents who were relationship educators and personal growth enthusiasts, I had front-row seats to the beauty of living a life committed to growth. Their example showed me the richness and fulfillment that come from living intentionally, and I’m deeply grateful for the foundation they gave me.
My own drive to heal and evolve has led me to methods that go beyond simply identifying pain or unhelpful patterns. The approaches I use work with the brain’s natural healing abilities to process and release pain at the root—allowing triggers to fade and making space for healthier, more adaptive ways of living.
I believe we’re not here just to survive or get by. Of course we want relief from pain, but we also crave so much more: joy, connection, meaning, play, and a deep sense of fulfillment. Anxiety, trauma, and life’s challenges can cloud those possibilities, making it hard to enjoy even the successes we’ve worked so hard for.
Let’s clear that path—so you can create the life you truly want.
You deserve it.
